Standard Plumbing Broadens Options in Salt Lake City
November 09, 2017
On November 1, 2017, Standard Plumbing Supply held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their newly remodeled plumbing store in Salt Lake City, Utah. The DTV expansion added 10,000 sq. ft. to showcase a new True Value core hardware store. The ceremony included a large turnout from the South Salt Lake community, including the Chamber of Commerce president and board members and several representatives from the local police and fire departments.
This location’s design was shaped by key learnings from each of the previous stores since opening in Layton and Springville just two years ago. Based on those experiences, Standard’s team realized that by combining their different businesses into one open building, they can leverage the strengths of each. The benefit of this integrated model allows for more cross-shopping by eliminating the walls and removing the siloed business structure.
Standard’s Salt Lake City facility is primarily contractor-focused like their other stores but now enhanced by the True Value partnership, which allows them to open the door to new customers. Like most of their other stores, this one boasts a beautiful bath fixture showroom that gives it a tremendous sales advantage.
Congratulations to the Standard Plumbing Salt Lake City team!
