Cole's Hardware Grows by Giving

Cole’s Hardware of central Pennsylvania is proving that giving back is the best way to grow. Last month, the retailer hosted their annual “Home For The Holidays – Holiday Gathering,” an invitation-only event for friends, family and loyal customers. All 11 locations offered store-wide discounts with a customer bounce back offer, extended shopping hours from 7-9 p.m., free food and drinks, and even a special visit from Santa at their Sunbury facility.
"The success of our event has come from building trust with customers over time and executing guidelines that look seamless," explains marketing manager Travis Confer-Fuller. "We're very thorough and leave nothing to chance, creating a relaxing atmosphere where our guests are free to browse, visit and buy. It's also an opportunity to bring them back for at least one more shopping experience before Christmas."
Cole’s started this ambitious undertaking in 2010 to thank customers and create a memorable, customized experience, all the way from the personal invitation to the fantastic deals at the register. As evidenced by the event's high daily transactions, positive sales figures and glowing feedback from customers, it's a win-win all around.
