Leading Hardware Industry Wholesaler Donates Products From Fall Buying show

DENVER, Oct. 10, 2018 – True Value Company, in partnership with its vendors, donated $438,000 worth of product to Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, following it’s bi-annual market- Reunion.

From Sept. 30 – Oct. 3, more than 200 volunteers from Habitat for Humanity and True Value collected 25 truckloads of product from the Colorado Convention Center.

The massive donation will be used to re-stock Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver’s five ReStore locations, Denver, Littleton, Wheat Ridge, Aurora and Highlands Ranch. ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell furniture, home appliances, building materials and more at significantly reduced prices. All profits support Habitat for Humanity’s home ownership, renovation and repair programs.

“The types of products we received really varied in scope,” said Corey Biechele, Director of Procurement Operations of Habitat for Humanity. “A lot of items, such as the lawn and garden supplies, are things we don’t normally see in our stores, which is great for our customers. True Value Reunions create a lot of excitement throughout our organization, plus the donations help us further our mission of providing affordable housing in Denver, which is the most important part.”

True Value has been an avid supporter of Habitat for Humanity for several decades. In the past three years alone, it has donated over $2.2 million to Habitat for Humanity branches in Chicago, Anaheim, Denver, Houston and Washington D.C.

“We’re all about giving back,” said Susan Radde, Director of the True Value Foundation. “We recognize that there are people out there who need better access to home essentials, and we’re pleased we have the opportunity to make large donations twice a year to Habitat for Humanity ReStores throughout the U.S..”
