Chicago - March 26, 2013 – Alan Bryant, president of Bryant Home Center, Inc., recently joined the board of directors for True Value Company, one of the world's largest retailer-owned hardware cooperatives. Bryant co-owns and operates three True Value stores in central Calif.
"It is an honor to serve on the True Value board of directors," said Bryant. "As a business owner in a small town, I’m looking forward to using my lifetime of experience in the hardware industry to help True Value succeed on a national level."
Bryant currently serves as a director for Pacific Pectin, Inc. in Oakhurst Calif. He served on the board of the Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce for six years. Under his leadership, his True Value store received True Value's Best Hardware Store in Town in 2008. In addition, Bryant has been named the North American Retail Hardware Association's Retail Innovator of the Year in 2010 and Young Retailer of the Year in 1999.
