TRUE VALUE FOUNDATION

Helping youth succeed with the tools and resources to achieve their full potential.

True Value gives back to the communities in which we live and work. The True Value Foundation (TVF) is a 501c3 not for profit organization aimed to support youth-focused organizations in the communities that True Value and its retailers serve. TVF’s mission is focused on helping youth succeed with the tools and resources to achieve their full potential.

  • Over the last seven years, True Value vendor partners and True Value Associates have donated over $7.5 million to the True Value Foundation.

A partnership with True Value’s generous suppliers provides the primary funding for True Value Foundation. Every spring, the True Value Charity Golf Classic brings these companies together in the spirit of helping youth succeed.

In addition, each fall our generous associates contribute and take part in our Fall Stewardship Campaign, which raises funds for the Foundation through pledging and a variety of exciting company-wide events. Our associates also participate in year-round volunteerism to support youth, largely in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs and the True Value Boys & Girls Club.

Funds raised and donated products and services support the Foundation in a variety of ways:

BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF AMERICA

With 4,000 clubs in a variety of communities across the United States, the non-profit serves nearly four million young people each year. This represents a significant opportunity for True Value retailers to engage with local clubs and support their mission to help kids stay focused on activities centered on academic success, a healthy lifestyle, good character and citizenship. Several of our retailers are already involved … from community festivals for kids to club improvement projects to mentoring.

TRUE VALUE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB

One of the longest standing corporate sponsors of the organization, True Value has supported the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago for over 40 years.  The True Value Foundation provides its namesake True Value Boys & Girls Club with financial support, product donations as well as countless associate volunteer and supply drive opportunities.  Entering its 55th year of service, the Club opened its doors in 1956 and serves the South Lawndale and Little Village communities.
