ELIGIBILITY

Suppliers must be certified as "diverse" to be recognized as part of True Value's Supplier Diversity Program. Certification can be obtained by demonstrating that the business is at least 51% owned and operated by a U.S citizen who qualifies for one of the designated minority categories. Agencies through which a supplier can obtain the proper certifications include:

  • National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and regional affiliates
  • Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
  • Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council (CMSDC)
  • Women's Business Development Council (WBDC)
  • Veterans Affairs (VA) 
  • National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC)
