By joining the cooperative, your retail establishment will benefit from the strength of the True Value brand and the cooperative buying power. But unlike a franchise operation, True Value Company gives you -- the independent retailer -- the right to decide how your business will operate. We will provide you with programs that can help your retail operation, but you will determine which programs work for you.

A: Depending on the complexity of the business situation it can take up to 6-8 weeks.

A: True Value Company stocks over 70,000 items in 13 regional distribution centers. This gives you many choices and enables you to easily customize your product mix to match your target market. We work with thousands of vendors, including Drop Ship vendors, to offer an array of top national brands and we offer special regional assortments.
Q: What kind of training and support is available?
A: True Value University (TVU) provides training resources for our current members and everyone opening up a new store. This training is offered on-site or online through True Value University. It is for anyone who has never owned or operated a store or for an experienced operator who wants to stay current on the latest home improvement and retailing trends.
Q: What type of store owner is True Value looking for?
A: We are looking for anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping people solve problems. Our preference is that the individual has retail business experience.
